Yasaiya Mei Roppongi Hills - Japanese

Yasaiya Mei Roppongi Hills is a sister's restaurant of Pasta House AWkitchen
that offers healthy Japanese dishes using mainly organic and chemical-free vegetables.

This resaurant is always fully booked and it's hard to make a reservation,
especially during the lunch time between 11:30am to 13:00pm.

Healthy vegetables lunch plate with Japanese grated yam and sliced raw aloe.

A glass of sweet corn juice is no sugar added, but very sweet and good.

A lot of pictures that are contracted farmers were displayed in the wall nearby the entrance.
If you'd like to enjoy reasonable Japanese organic dishes, this restaurant is the best.
However as previously mentioned, advanced reservations required.
You can enjoy the sweet Japanese organic vegetables here
after seeing the spectacular Tokyo sky view at the 52nd floor in the Roppongi Hills.
Actaully not only Japanese fruits but also most Japanese vegetables are amazing sweet.

Ukafe - Organic Cafe

Ukafe situated in Tokyo Midtown, belongs to Uka
that runs hair, esthetic and nail salons located just next door.

It's cozy and clean atmosphere and they have seats at the counter
facing the wide window that we can enjoy a view of Midtown garden.
Tokyo Midtown is surrounded by greenery, that is wholesome environment
and uncommon in central Tokyo.

All beverages they offers are organic.
I have ordered a cup of organic tea with soy milk and  an American muffin.
I ate a muffin before a big Yakitori dinner.... Actually it looked yummy!

You should stop by Ukafe located on the 2nd floor in Midtown Galleria
when you get tired to go around for shopping
and enjoy an organic lunch and a tea/coffee break.

Ginza KARACU - Organic Cafe

Ginza KARACU was opened in corroboration between French restaurant "L'Alliance" in Kagurazaka and ecological fashion brand "genten". I bumped into with my ex-colleague in Ginza on the other day and then, she took me to this healthy cafe which offers brown rice cakes, brown rice coffee, organic earl grey tea, sweets made from brown rice and so on. Actually I found a secret admirer of "organic" here. That's her!

South African herbal rooibos tea is already popular in Japan for caffeine-free and contained high level of polyphenol that is believed to be effective in preventing cancer. I wavered between organic earl grey or rooibos tea.

Pumpkin orange souffle is the speciality of desserts in KARACU. The deserts are good, however, we can also enjoy the healthy lunch, such as sandwiches using brown rice bread, rice gratin made by stone oven and so on. It's located just next to Ginza Matsuya dept. store which has an easy access from anywhere. If you get tired to walk around for shopping in Ginza, you should try this cafe for a lunch or a tea break.

Ryutenmon in Westin Hotel Tokyo - Chinese

Chinese restaurant, Ryutenmon in Westin Hotel Tokyo which was awarded a star of the
Michelin Guide Tokyo both 2010 and 2011, provids us chinese Cantonese dishes using
organic and chemical-free vegetables. They don't mention it in public, however, actually it's very healthy chinese.

A picture on the right is my favorite sesami spicy chinese noodles called "Tan Tan Men" which is not on the menu. But in my view, it's well known for the best Tan Tan Men in Tokyo. It's really nice and I love it!

Dim sum with organic and chemical-free vegetables is also well known in the menu of this restaurant. I am convinced that I can judge the delicious dim sum, since I've been eaten fairly delicious dim sum so many times when I've lived in Singapore and visited Hong Kong.

A cup of almond jelly was just same taste as the one of the Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong which has a brunch in Singapore as well. It was soft and a little bit chewy texture just like soybean curd.

I would say that this Michelin Guide Tokyo awarded restaurant is the best Chantonese  using organic and chemical-free vegetables in central Tokyo. Top Hong Kong chefs get themselves down to the farms nearby Tokyo and choose the fresh oeganic vegetabels. If you feel like taking Chinese cuisine, I reccomend you pick out Ryutenmon for a lunch as well as a dinner.

Chez Tomo Ginza - French

French restaurant, Ginza Chez Tomo is located in the 11th and 12th floor of a nice view building in central Ginza. As soon as an elevator door opened, we can look at the attractive, elegant and simple space in front of us.

They took me to the main dining on the 12th floor which has a nice view of Ginza. It was an elegant and gorgeous dining, but I felt cozy and relax. We reserved a table facing the window.

Everything in this restaurant was perfect! You can see the left picture that "T" of Tomo was indicated on the top of butter. That's their small astonishing consideration.

I tried to order called "Ladify sea urchin" made from sea urchin and scrambled eggs with lobster source as the 1er Hors-d' ouevre, is well known in Chez Tomo. It's absolutely amazing!

2er Hors-d' ouevre was a piece of sole with green source and goji berry source in red that was a picturesque plate.

3er Hors-d' ouevre was dishes of a variety of seasonal organic vegetables which is the speciality of this restaurant. It was included  some Japanese traditional vegetables, such as wild vegetables, Japanese yam, Lily bulb and so on.

Grilled chicken with red wine source and orange source. Yummy!

Chocolate mousse with a scoop of chocolate ice cream and chocolate source is my great favorite. When I visited a sister restaurant in Shirokane, I had the same one. The price of Lunch course excluding Ladify sea urchin is JPY2,890 only that is very reasonable and simultaneously we can have a lunch in the gorgeous and tasteful room.

This restaurant is perfect for everything that are taste, service, interior, location and their hospitality. I love it which can use for a special occasion with your significant other. If you are alone, but you feel like having a authentic french, this restaurant is one of the options, as they have counter seats with a nice view.  Advanced reservations required.

TeTeS - Fusion Organic dishes

TeTeS just opened this March, situated at the Nishi-Azabu crossing right across of Japanese restaurant Gonpachi and ice cream shop Hobsons. Though a little bit far from the both Roppongi and Hiroo stations, TeTeS is appropriate organic cafe to stop by for a lunch or a coffee/tea break when you take a walk around Hiroo-Azabu area.

I took a table in the upstairs since it's pretty smoky downstairs where are so many smokers I'm not fond of... Therefore, this cafe is not family-oriented, it's just for couples, friends and others except children and expectant mothers. Also I was surprised that organic cafe has smoking area. Actually "Organic" is closely linked with "Ecology", so organic cafe should be ecological and environment-friendly cafe that are required items.

Actually I ordered a piece of apple and cranberry pie, but they apologized to me 25 minutes later for not serving it due to sold out. Alternatively, I took a piece of pecan pie and then, they served me a cream puff as well to express their apology to me. A cream puff is the same as the one we bought at muchies dELI Tokyo on the other day. Because this cafe is produced by munchies dELI.

Green tea latte with soy milk is my favorite. The corner table beside the window will become my favorite place as well. This time I've nursed here for 3 hours to read a book and write something... But they've never disturbed me and never felt unwelcome pressure. Maybe they are too busy or it's actually cozy place?

You can see a Japanese traditional storage building on the above picture. This is my much-loved restaurant Gonpachi that is popular with foreign visitors.

This cafe offers organic breakfast, lunch, coffee/tea break and dinner of which all ingredients are natural without harmful chemicals. This is nice cafe, but except that it's quite smoky on 1st floor. It will be opened until 5am every Friday and Saturday, so after drinking at the Gonpachi or other bars in Nishi-Azabu or Roppongi areas, please stop by TeTeS to refresh or grab a bite.

Cafe California in Sheraton Miyako Hotel - Macrobiotics

Cafe California in 1F, Sheraton Miyako Hotel in Shirokane offers authentic macrobiotic dishes on all occasions. This restaurant's name is "Cafe", but actually it's not a cafe, it's just a casual restaurant. If you are strict macrobian and try to find the restaurant for a dinner, this is the best.  Also you can stay at this hotel with macrobiotic breakfast, lunch and dinner.

This restaurant has a terrace in the backyard, which is wide open space. It just more like the  casual hotel restaurants in LA as named "Cafe California".

The first appetizer is seitan with tomato salad. For those who do not know, seitan is the mock meat made from soy beans. Authentic macrobiotic for treatment purposes is strictly prohibited from eating meat of the animals.

Carrot and Garbanzo soup topped with coriander is quite spicy. Taste was something like Indian foods.  I shouldn't have chosen it.....

Main course is the pumpkin galette which is also a little bit spicy. Actually I am not a big spicy foods fun.

The basic of the macrobiotic is the brown rice. Whenever I eat rice, I choose brown rice.

Yummy desert is apple comport with coconuts sauce. You can see the seeds of apple on the above picture. This is based on the concept that we try to eat entire vegetables and fruits as much as possible, even the skin and seeds as an ecological approach.

Rosehip and hibiscus herbal tea which is good for health and skin, that has slightly sour, but I love it.

A dine at a table in the terrace is fantastic in the spring and the fall. The normal menu is also available, so you can dine out at this restaurant together with non-macrobians. They will be able to provide you a variety of selections.

*Free shuttle bus between hotel and JR Meguro station available every 15 minutes

Hills Marche in Ark Hills - Roppongi・Akasaka area

There is a farmer's market called "Hills Marche" in the Ark Hills in Roppongi-Akasaka area held every weekend, that is a relatively big market in central Tokyo. It's easy to get organic vegetables here.  A number of farmer's markets take place in the cetral Tokyo for the last two years, that is remarkable aspect compared with the condition of Tokyo organic market 5-6 year ago.

Farmers in Ibaragi prefecture, Kanto area open their own outdoor booths at the Hills Marche, so we can buy extremely fresh organic vegetables that were directly shipped by trucks every mornings of the weekends.

The picture shown above is not organic certified vegetables, but agricultural chemical-free as well as chemical fertilizers-free. Also I found the other booths which we can buy vegetables that have the organic certified JAS mark.

Bottles of organic wine also available. Mavie is the one of reliable organic wine shops, located nearby a 5-minute walk from Ark Hills. I didn't get drunk even if I had a glass of wine served by Mavie. Actually I am a light drinker and my face easily turns red with just a drink though.

Other household products also available. This place has an easy access to come over from anywhere, just next to ANA InterContinental Hotel. If you would like to experience the Tokyo organic market, please visit here and enjoy looking around!  Just for your information, it will be amazing cherry blossom gate in Sakura-zaka which means cherry blossom slope in English, surrounding the Ark hills around the end of March or early April.

munchies dELI Tokyo - Delicatessen

If you get too tired to eat out for a dinner after walking around a Tokyo city, munchies dELI Tokyo is the best choice for takeout.  All ingredients of foods that we can parchase some of them in the shop, such as soy milk, cereals, cookies etc, are natural.

Vege cream puffs of which vegetable chips stuck in the cream, are well known in this deli shop. They have a variety of vegetables cream puffs, say - burdock root, purple sweet potato,  green beans, pumpkin, ginger and tomato.

Yummy-looking dishes are in the show case. They can provide vegetable lasagna , vegetable salad to begans.

This time I bought vege cream puffs garnished with (clockwise from top right) ginger, purple sweet potato, green beans and burdock root are all great!  Vegetable chips on the top of cream puffs are so cute!  This deli shop is located in B1F, ITOCIA Yuraku-cho just in front of JR Yurakucho Station.  In case you stay in the hotel nearby Yurakucho, you will be able to stop by at this shop to get something to eat after a sightseeing. Vegan menu also available, but unfortunately No eat-in space.
